BABAT: Massachusetts Professionals in Behavior Analysts

BABAT is looking to fill a 1-year appointment to the Board of Directors as a Student Representative

BABAT is Massachusetts oldest and largest professional organization for behavior analysts. Our Board of Directors currently has an opening for a one-year appointed student representative. This is a non-voting position, but participation in monthly board meetings and committee involvement would be expected. Board meetings alternate between in-person meetings and call-in meetings and are typically on one Friday per month from 1-3pm. Candidate’s should expect to allocate 1-2 hours per week toward BABAT responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to make connections within the Massachusetts Behavior Analysis community, to meet VIP’s in our field, to receive discounts on BABAT events and offerings, to provide service to the profession you will be entering into, to have opportunity to provide input on major organizational initiatives, to gain experience in helping to run a large non-profit organization, and be part of a growing and flourishing state professional organization.

Interested candidates should send a letter of interest briefly detailing your interest in joining the BABAT Board of Directors as a Student Representative, a CV or resume, and a recommendation from a faculty member of your graduate program to aimee@babat.org.

The candidate must be a graduate student in a Behavior Analysis program, must reside in Massachusetts, and must be a student member of BABAT.

Appointments will be determined by the Board of Directors based on application materials and availability to perform appointment responsibilities.

Upon your appointment to the board, we will work with you to place you with the committee of your choosing. Some options might include student relations, events, conference planning, social media, or professional practice.
